2019 Speakers

Tim Mirth is the Platform Leader for Rockwell Automation’s PlantPAx Distributed Control System solution. This role places emphasis on future technologies and their integration into the system. In particular a focus on the system’s architecture and cybersecurity are prevalent in the position.  In tandem with this position, Tim is an active member in the Open Process Automation Forum (OPAF) including acting as the newest co-chair for Security. He is also a member of ODVA with special interest in CIP for Process and CIP Security. Prior to working at Rockwell, Tim worked years in System Integration at RoviSys. Working in a vast variety of industries from Water/WasteWater, Metals, Energy, Critical BMS, and Pharmaceuticals and working with technologies from Siemens, Rockwell, GE, Cisco, Schneider, VTScada and many more.  Tim is excited about future technologies and their potential for open and secure automation. He has his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering Technology from University of Akron. Tim has also been a semi-professional musician for nearly 30 years and performs regularly.
