Ed is currently Director, Wireless Solutions Architect for Emerson Automation Solutions’ Digital Transformation group. An alumna of DeVry Institute of Technology, Ed has 30 years’ experience in automation and related fields including work in industrial networking, wireless communications and metrology with progressive roles in engineering, business development and management.  Most notably, Ed was with Director of Technology for the HART Communication Foundation from 2004 – 2010 when the WirelessHART standard was introduced.  Ed is a Senior member of International Society of Automation and has held many volunteer leadership roles including Director of the Process Measurement and Control Division, ISA Expo Conference Chair and led ISA’s Conference Program (2000-2003).  Ed has had a continuous membership in ISA since 1988.  In addition to his work experience Ed has been published by industry journals in Europe, Asia and America.
